Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Offered are Brett Hull’s CCM Supra M-HG-1255 gloves from the 1991 Canada Cup. The mitts are each adorned with Brett’s signature in black marker with added “91 Canada Cup” notations. Good wear with stick marks and heavier use in the palm of the left glove, correct for a right-handed shot. Included is a Blues-era Easton Aluminum HX4800 game-used stick, correctly wrapped at the handle in white with a Christian blade. Blade holds a bold blue “Brett Hull 741 Goals” sig and a salutation has been removed. Tape residue remains and the stick shows decent use. Finally, a 2002 Olympics Team USA jersey crested with Hull’s name and number has been signed on the back and comes with a Steiner COA.
Team USA’s Brett Hull scored two goals and totaled nine points over eight games during the 1991 Canada Cup tournament. These short-cuff gloves have been style matched to numerous action pics of Brett taken during the Series. The blade on Brett’s Easton aluminum gamer has been torched slightly, leaving a brown mark where it was heated and given a slight twist to the curve, something common to game-used Hull sticks. The white Nike-made jersey is tagged in the neck in size 52 and features the captain's "C" at the chest. Our consignor has customized each piece in this collection by adding a small round hologram sticker.
