A member of the elite Triple Gold Club, winning an Olympic gold medal, a World Championship and a Stanley Cup, Brendan Shanahan dressed for over 1,500 NHL contests, with a trio of Stanley Cup championships won, all with Detroit. This Red Wings jersey was worn by the 2013 Hall of Fame inductee during just his second season in Motor City, in 1998-99. Nike and Center Ice labels with “56” sizing are affixed to the collar (along with a peeling rubberized crest), with embroidered NHL and Nike logos over the reverse hem. Featuring a gorgeous winged-wheel team crest, “14” appears over the sleeves and verso in single twill, with “Shanahan” arching across the upper reverse. Hailing from the collection of Michael Wexler, the team patch resides over the inside hem denoting the garment as a “2nd Set” example, with a COA from the Red Wings to accompany.
Dark marks completely cover the lower front band, with additional dark marks over the sleeves and reverse. There are also fabric pulls, burn marks and light pilling, with team repairs over the right (1) and left (3) sleeves.
