Capping off another great season finishing first overall in the NHL, the New York Islanders would defeat a fearsome Broad Street Bullies squad in the 1981 Stanley Cup finals to claim their second-consecutive championship. This is the original Clarence S. Campbell trophy that was presented to New York Islanders forward Bob Bourne after the team finished atop the Campbell Conference for the third time in four seasons in 1980-81. At 11” in height, the silver-plated handled cup with removable lid and chased detailing sits atop a hexagon-shaped 3-inch wooden base and is engraved “Bob Bourne – New York Islanders – 1980-81” on one side, with the name of the trophy and its "1968" year of inception on the other. Originating from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Bob Bourne will accompany.
Displaying nicely, there are numerous areas that are now showing tarnishing, with a bit of surface loss in spots including over the handles and along the rim, with crazing also visible.
