Playing out of the Omni Coliseum, the Atlanta Flames enjoyed 9 seasons in the NHL before relocating to Calgary in 1980. This Atlanta Flames jersey was game-worn in the mid-1970s and it’s been attributed to Jean Lemieux. With the correct Rawlings size tagging in the collar, this durene sweater sports dual-colour tackle twill back and sleeve numbers as well as a beautiful team crest. It should be noted that this garment shows evidence of a long former nameplate, probably added for televised games, and that Jean Lemieux wore #6 in 1974-75 and 1975-76, while Ken Houston wore #6 in 1976-77. An LOA will accompany this jersey.
This vintage game-worn Atlanta Flames jersey that’s been attributed to Jean Lemieux shows nice wear that includes black marks over the right breast, on both sleeves near the elbows, and on the left side of the back. The jersey also has a few small unrepaired holes on the lower front, as well as 7 team repairs present, with 2 on the front beneath the team crest, 3 on the right sleeve/shoulder, and 2 on the back including one larger example beneath the back number.
