This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Another sumptuous offering directly from the personal collection of former New York Rangers’ captain and Summit Series star Vic Hadfield, and celebrating the 40th anniversary of the famous 1972 series in 2012, we have a trio of desirable items, including a framed “40th anniversary” lithograph by Daniel Parry signed by 25 Team Canada 1972 members, a limited-edition commemorative Team Canada watch with display case, and an autographed Team Canada 1972 souvenir hockey puck. Each item is in gorgeous condition, with both the lithograph and puck featuring flawless signatures. A signed LOA from Mr. Hadfield will accompany these desirable items from his personal collection.
The 16” x 17” (exposed) lithograph picture’s a jubilant Henderson amid a Canadian flag background with the Parliament building front and center, with cameos of each of the players placed along the base. 25 have signed in two vertical rows over the flag background, with Henderson signing over his centralized image. Signers include Hadfield, along with HOFers Clarke, Cournoyer, Dionne, Lapointe, Mahovlich, Mikita, Park, Savard, and Harry Sinden, as well as Awrey, Cashman, Ellis, Glennie, Guevremont, Hull, Mahovlich, Parise, Redmond, Seiling, Stapleton, White and Ed Johnston. As mentioned, the dark ink signatures display especially well, with the litho double-mated and framed to full dimensions of approx 23” x 24 ½”. Next, the watch comes in beautiful condition, with its original 6 ½” x 5” x 3” rosewood presentation box, with just a bit of wear and light staining to the interior. Lastly, the InGlasCo puck has a Team Canada 1972 logo, with Vic signing above in silver, with the puck and signature in excellent condition. A COA is affixed to the reverse of the litho frame, with an additional COA to accompany for the signed puck.
