A veteran of 638 National Hockey League games over the course of twelve (12) years in the league, Ronnie Stern would suit up in the uniform of the Vancouver Canucks for a total of 97 games over the course of four (4) years after being selected 70th overall by the club at the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Offered here, we present this Canucks jersey originally worn by Stern in 1990-91 that was recycled for Steve Tambellini's use in Canucks alumni contests in the early-1990s. Made by CCM, a partially sewn over Maska Ultrafil label is affixed to the inner collar while the logos of both the NHL shield and CCM are embroidered into the reverse hem. Measuring out to roughly a size "54", the front of the jersey is decorated with a Canucks team crest that features embroidered details throughout. Having had the number "20" sewn to the sleeves and verso in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, a black twill nameplate with "Tambellini" spelt out across it in screened on yellow letters is affixed over the upper reverse while evidence of the former "Stern" nameplate is present on the interior. Featuring an "LA" patch over the right breast that was added after the jersey was recycled for use by Tambellini, the garment display with light-to-moderate game-wear in the form of light stick marks over the front and both sleeves while board burns are found over the front, both shoulders and both sleeves. Additionally, pilling is exhibited on the interior at both elbows along with a team repair over the reverse hem.
Addendum; The "LA" patch on the right breast is for the Canucks' athletic trainer Larry Ashley who passed away on September 16th 1995 at the age of 42 after a lengthy battle with cancer. These patches were added to the Canucks Alumni jerseys in circa 1995.
