From his first full season in Beantown, we have a Bruins jersey worn by Finnish netminder Tuuka Rask in 2009-10, and it’s been photo-matched. “Goalie Style” size tagging sits along the collar with handwritten “40”, along with an additional Reebok patch on the back neckline. Featuring the famous spoked-B team crest, the jersey has been styled in tri-colour tackle twill including numbers and name-on-nameplate, with matching Bruins alternate patches over each shoulder. Moderate wear is exhibited on the tie-neck, with random dark marks on each sleeve, along with faint traces of red goal-post paint transfer on the lower right front just above the striping band. A MeiGray patch numbered G02619 remains attached to the inside hem, and according to their population report, the garment is a "White Set 1" example.
Two large team repairs are also present on the jersey, located along the upper left border of the team crest. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty image #95010380 from Nov 25th 2009 and Getty image #93962035 from Dec 4th, have been matched to the big team repair above the team crest, and to the black mark at the right of the team crest. Rask had played 4 games in 2007-08 and 1 game in 2008-09 with the Bruins, started his first full year with Boston beginning in 2009-10. Despite ranking first in the NHL’s two major goaltending categories — goals-against allowed and save percentage - Rask was not among the three finalists for the Calder Trophy, an award given annually to the league's top rookie.
