Drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in 2002, Tom Gilbert saw NHL action with 5 teams over parts of 12 seasons. The Minnesota native also represented the US at the 2008 IIHF World Championships. This Edmonton Oilers third jersey was worn by Gilbert in 2008-09. Made by Reebok and displaying size “58” and Elite Sportswear tags that have been affixed to the inner collar, the front and reverse necklines have been accented with the logo patches of the NHL shield and Reebok respectively. Decorated over the front with a familiar Oilers team crest that features embroidered details throughout, the franchise’s 30th anniversary patch that was worn during the season is found over the right shoulder. "77” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in tri-layer tackle twill numerals, with “Gilbert” in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Game-wear is light and includes a few marks to the left sleeve, and a small hole over the elbow section resulting from a board burn. A MeiGray patch numbered "F10531" is sewn to the inside hem, and according to the population report, the jersey is a "Third Set 1" specimen. An LOA will accompany.
