Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
The 2010-11 season was unforgettable for Tim Thomas and the Boston Bruins. The Bruins hoisted the Stanley Cup when all was said and done and Thomas claimed the Conn Smythe Trophy for his spectacular play throughout the playoffs. His play during the regular season was just as thrilling and effective as he claimed the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s top goalie. From his personal collection, Tim’s signed Reebok 6K game-used stick with “T. Thomas” stamped on the shaft is the model that he used throughout the 2010-11 regular season before he switched to Reebok 11K sticks in the playoffs and Stanley Cup Finals. He placed a bold black marker autograph along with a handwritten “Game Used Stick” annotation high on the front of the paddle. Thomas’ original tape jobs remain on the knob, lower shaft and blade. Plenty of game wear to note with black marks and puck gouges that tore holes in the tape job on the blade, a black puck mark that gouged the top edge midway up the paddle, and loads of red goalpost paint transfer on the back of the shaft, with more further down the shaft and along the paddle and tape job on the back of the blade. The stick will come with Tim Thomas’ signed LOA.
