Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
In 1966, the Hall of Fame doors swung wide open for that year's newest inductees: Ted Lindsay, Max Bentley, Toe Blake, Emile Bouchard, Frank Brimsek, Elmer Lach, Babe Pratt, Ken Reardon and of course, Ted Kennedy. As per tradition, a duplicate crest, identical to the one worn on the breast of the induction jacket, is framed and presented to each inductee. Offered here is the framed presentation crest with the embroidered emblem of the Hockey Hall of Fame, as presented to Teeder Kennedy. A plate at the bottom lists his name and the year of induction. Measures about 7" square and has been preserved in near-excellent condition. Obtained from the family of former Leafs' captain Ted Kennedy, complete with their signed letter of provenance.
