In 1947, the Toronto Maple Leafs bested the defending champion Montreal Canadiens to take the Stanley Cup in six games. Ted Kennedy led the series in scoring with three goals, including the final game winner! We present Kennedy's sterling silver trophy box, from the craftsmen at Birks Jewellers, awarded to recognize his stellar efforts in the Stanley Cup victory. The lid is perfectly engraved with "Ted Kennedy, Stanley Cup Winner, 1946-47, From Maple Leaf Gardens". A series of three hallmarks are joined by the stamps "Birks" and "Sterling Silver" and the hinged lid lifts to boast two separate and wood-lined compartments for cigarettes. Dimensions are 7" by 3.5" with a depth of 2". In excellent condition and ready to be used again. Obtained from the family of former Leafs' captain Ted Kennedy, complete with their signed letter of provenance.
