Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Appearing in 18 games as the back-up to a rookie Patrick Roy, we have a Stanley Cup championship trophy that was presented to Steve Penney as a member of the 1985-86 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens. Standing at a majestic 13” and mounted to a wooden base, the names of the men who made it happen are engraved in three columns beneath the listed Habs executives, with “Club De Hockey Canadien” and “1985-86” placed above. Penney has signed the underside in black marker near a sticker from maker Boffey, with the original box and carrying bag included. The trophy shows just light wear, with scratches/crazing present. Great memento of this Stanley Cup championship team which is originally from Steve Penney's personal collection.
