Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

An interesting and alluring Sidney Crosby rookie card "hat trick" is on the block, while Sid continues to star and produce highlight reel material in his quest to lead his Penguins to more triumphant accomplishments. A desirable 2005-06 Upper Deck Young Guns issue leads here, with the tiniest of touches detected at the upper left corner of card #201 likely denying Mint status; we would say NM-MT+. A couple of condition-sensitive productions are also present, with a Black Diamond #193 representative also very close to perfect, with only a small nick on the lower back edge to report. A scratch-free foil finish and four problem-free sharp corners is what we see = NM-MT+. Meanwhile, an Upper Deck Trilogy #211 card is serial-numbered "411/999" and exhibits a couple of subtle surface scratches, along with extremely light wear on the upper back edge. Three Stanley Cups and two each of the Conn Smythe, Hart and Art Ross Trophies and Sid's only 31 - there's still plenty of time for more - what a legacy, still in the making!
A throw-in is an Upper Deck McDonald's card #51 from the same season which is actually not considered an official rookie card. For your information, current Beckett values for the three rookie cards, as of this writing, are $850, $300 and $150 respectively.
