Originally drafted 5th overall by the Boston Bruins at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Phil Kessel has gone on to win a trio of Stanley Cup championships while recording a career total of 992 points and holds the National Hockey League record for most consecutive games played at 1064. Joining the Pittsburgh Penguins beginning with the 2015-16 season and establishing himself as a playoff asset by registering 22 points in 24 games played as the Penguins won the Stanley Cup for the fourth (4th) time in franchise history over the San Jose Sharks, offered here is this Pens jersey worn by Kessel during that Stanley Cup championship winning campaign, specifically on March 17th, 2016 against the Carolina Hurricanes when the Penguins celebrated the City of Pittsburgh's bicentennial. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, logo crests for both the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Penguins team crest that features embroidered details throughout, a special Pittsburgh Bicentennial patch worn only in the game this jersey hails from graces the area over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Kessel's number "81" in dual layer tackle twill numerals, "Kessel" is spelt out in single layer yellow twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Signed by Kessel through the middle of the "8" on the reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue, a game specific Penguins team tag has been sewn on inside the reverse hem. Retaining its fight strap and showing good game-wear despite being worn in just a single contest, stick marks appear over the left elbow area while a pair of red board paint transfers exists over the right elbow. Accompanied by a Penguins COA, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #516229558 (March 17th, 2016 vs Carolina) to the stick marks found over the left elbow.
