Hitting .300 or better in more than half of his 24 seasons as a player, Pete Rose retired with a .303 lifetime average, with his number finally retired by the Reds in 2016. Nicknamed "Charlie Hustle" and is the all-time MLB leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053), singles (3,215) and outs (10,328) Winning a total of three (3) World Series', three (3) batting titles, one (1) Most Valuable Player Award, two (2) Gold Gloves and the Rookie of the Year Award, offered here is this bat used by Rose as a member of the Cincinnati Reds between 1965-68. A Hillerich & Bradsby made stick with "Genuine", Rose's signature and "Louisville Slugger" branded into the barrel, a Louisville Sluggers/Hillerich & Bradsby emblem is branded into the neck of the bat as well. Having had an "S2" model number stamped into the knob with Rose's number "14" penned over it in black marker ink, once in a bold style and once in a smaller faint ink as well. Uncracked and intact, the bat shows outstanding use including ball and stitch impressions visible on the right, left and back barrel plus cleat marks that are observed on all sides of the barrel also. Measuring 36" in length and weighing 31.9 ounces, also visible on the bat are blue back rack streaks and a very light coat of pine tar over the handle. Having had a PSA/DNA sticker numbered "1B01591" affixed to the end of the barrel, PSA has given the bat a GU 8.5 designation and it is accompanied by their Letter of Grading and Authenticity.
