This amazing 1969 Ottawa Rough Riders Grey Cup champions 10-karat gold and diamond ring is attributed to legendary Canadian quarterback Russ Jackson. The CFL icon went out on top in his last game with four TD passes to take MVP honors in the 57th Grey Cup, leading the Rough Riders to a 29-11 win over Saskatchewan at Montreal's Autostade on November 30, 1969. A large diamond is surrounded by 16 tiny rubies on the tableau and "Canadian Professional Football Champions" is spelled out around the bezel of this fabulous creation, which weighs approximately 30 grams. "Jackson No. 12" is engraved inside the size 10 3/4 band along with a "10K FR" stamp. Wonderfully preserved with scratches and scuffs, mostly to the back of the band, from proud wear. Comes with a third party LOA.
The Rough Riders logo is displayed between "Jackson" and "1969" on the right shank, and "Grey Cup" and the league’s full name and an image of the Cup are displayed on the left shank.
There is a small nick to the inside edge of the top of the band, and a light mark above the “N” in “Canadian” on the upper bezel.
