Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Routinely suiting up in the blue and white of Team Finland throughout the course of his career and helping the nation rack up numerous medals and awards, Olli Jokinen would win Olympic medals in 2006 (silver), 2010 (bronze) and 2014 (bronze) as well as a gold medal at the 1998 IIHF World Junior Championships and six (6) medals at various IIHF World Championship tournaments. Also helping Finland to silver at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, offered here is this Team Finland jersey worn by Jokinen at the 2014 IIHF World Championship in Belarus. Made by Nike, size "60", "Made in Canada" and Swoosh logos have been screened on to the inner collar above a sewn on "IIHF Authentic Collection" label while an IIHF logo patch has been added over the reverse hem. Sporting an additional Nike Swoosh logo over the right breast, the front of the jersey has been decorated with a sublimated twill Team Finland crest that has been heat-pressed on while Jokinen's number "12" has been sewn on to the sleeves and verso in single layer white tackle twill numbers over the sleeves and dual layer white-over-navy numerals on the reverse. Having had Finnair sponsorship patches added over the upper portion of both sleeves, "Jokinen" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters that have been heat-pressed on to the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Sporting the distinguished captain's "C" over the left breast and retaining its fight strap on the interior as well as a heat pressed on Nike Team Sports barcode, the jersey shows game-wear via stick marks over the front and both sleeves, light board burns over both sleeves and light blue coloured board paint transfer marks over the left sleeve and over the left hip. Also showing some dirt marks and sweat staining throughout, it is important to note that there is some rubbing to the fabric over the upper reverse and the jersey displays with a yellow hue to the white areas.
