Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
An institution in Montreal throughout the 20th century and the witness to countless hockey matches, concerts and even the funeral of Howie Morenz, the Montreal Forum opened in 1924 and entertained their final Canadiens game in 1996. We have an oversized photo of the famous venue, and it’s been multi-signed by past Habs legends. At 11” x 14”, the glossy print has been covered by 22 signatures, with the majority fashioned from blue sharpie. Included are HOFers Dryden, Mahovlich, Robinson, Lafleur, Savard, Gainey, Bowman and Doug Gilmour, along with Mahovlich, Damphousse, Muller, Nattres, Smith, Richer, Green, Lalor, Leeman, Corson, Wilson, Turgeon, MacNeil and Mike McPhee. The signatures pop nicely off the background, with just a couple smudged, with wear to the photo itself including a few corner creases. A COA will accompany.
