Captivating and memory-provoking miniature Stanley Cup recalls the Edmonton Oilers’ return to hockey’s pinnacle and their third Cup title in four years. After being eliminated the previous spring by Calgary, the Oilers racked up a league-high 50 regular season wins and 106 points in 1986-87 as Wayne Gretzky claimed his seventh straight scoring championship, with Jari Kurri and Mark Messier also reaching the 100-point plateau. Come playoff time, the three, along with Glenn Anderson, again led offensively as Edmonton took care of Los Angeles (4-1), Winnipeg (4-0) and Detroit (4-1), before edging Philadelphia in the first seven-game final in 16 years. Oilers forward Moe Lemay posted a two-goal performance over 9 post-season games and his name is engraved on this personal replica of Lord Stanley’s coveted trophy, along with those of the team’s executives and the coaches, included among a list of the names of the players who will forever be remembered as hockey’s most exciting team. The impressive silver-plated trophy stands 13" high and has been preserved in very good to excellent condition with some tarnishing and oxidization to note. From the personal collection of Moe Lemay complete with a letter of authenticity.
