The most successful movie series ever filmed in Quebec, "Les Boys" was released in 1997 on a budget of just over $3,000,000.00, with three films following along with a TV series spawned in 2007 that lasted five seasons, until 2012. Depicting the comical escapades of a low-level amateur hockey team with an aging roster, the film grossed an especially impressive $10,000,000.00 plus at the box office, which included $4,000,000.00 in the American market. We have equipment used in the TV series, most likely all in the first season, with a photo-matched goalie mask worn Paul Houde who played Fernand Rivest, along with a jersey, blocker, glove and pads, all attributed to Houde.
The mask feature’s intact padding, strapping, head plate and cage, with the paint job executed by “Griffe Originale”, with his sticker on the interior. The Itech logos on either side have been covered with black stick tape, with the helmet exhibiting a few random marks, scuffs and scratches, with an included numeric image matched to the chip on the chin section. With all the included equipment matching in colour scheme, the jersey has SP labeling including a “Pro 58G” size tag, with tackle twill team crest and “1” over the sleeves and verso in matching material. The blocker and glove are matching TPS Pro Stock models showing light use, with the pads also matching TPS Pro Stock models, with light to moderate wear with puck marks visible on each.
