The New York Islanders hit it out of the park, Yankee Stadium, in fact, when they wore these Stadium Series gamers for their outdoor game against the Rangers there on January 29, 2014. This 2013-14 Islanders game-worn Stadium Series jersey was worn by defenseman Matt Donovan, who had two goals and 14 assists for 16 points in 52 games with the Islanders. The number “2” handwritten in black marker on the size 58 flag tag with in the back of the tie-neck collar signifies that Donovan wore this gamer during the second period of the Islanders’ 2-1 loss to the Rangers before a Yankee Stadium crowd of 50,027. Donovan was wearing this gamer when he assisted on the first goal of the game by Brock Nelson goal with 1:27 left in the second. Game wear shows in light board burns on the back of the left sleeve, and there is a long loop of loose blue thread on the front right shoulder seam near the collar where the stitching line was pulled. The 2014 Stadium Series New York patch sits on the right shoulder with an Islanders logo patch on the left shoulder. Registry number on the MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2013-2014 Season patch sewn inside the rear tail shows in the MeiGray population report that this outdoor gamer is a "Blue - Stadium Series 1/29/14 at Yankee Stadium - NHL-MGG Set - Worn During Period 2 - 1/29/14 At Yankee Stadium".
