This silver-plated dinner tray was presented by Hockey Night in Canada to Hall of Fame star Kenny Reardon on the occasion of the original Winnipeg Jets' first national NHL broadcast in 1979. Dubbed "Tuxedo Night" because Jets executives and even the Zamboni driver were dressed to the nines, the December 15th game saw the Jets pull out all the stops as they hosted the reigning Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens. "Kenneth Reardon" is engraved in elegant script on this nicely detailed commemorative tray which was presented as a token of gratitude on the occasion of HNIC's first NHL broadcast from the old Winnipeg Arena. Tray measures 12 1/4" in diameter and stands 1 1/4" on the side. Originally from Ken Reardon's personal collection. “Presented to - Kenneth Reardon - Member Hockey Hall of Fame - Honored at Winnipeg Arena by Hockey Night in Canada - Montreal Canadiens vs Winnipeg Jets - December 15th 1979” is engraved in the middle of the silver-plated tray. In gorgeous condition, sporting just light surface wear. A small photo album from the event with a dozen photos including Reardon being handed the tray will accompany.
