THe first overall pick of the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft, John Tavares would spend the first nine (9) years of his NHL career with the New York Islanders on Long Island before coming home north of the border to join his hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, for the 2018-19 season of play. Having worn the distinguished captain's "C" for Toronto since 2019 and having recently recorded his 1000th career point, only the 98th player in NHL history to reach the mark, offered here is this pair of CCM pants worn by Tavares during the 2022-23 season of play. Stylized in Maple Leafs blue, with a white stripe down each side, the pants measure out to a size "x-large" according to the faded interior labels and have a Leafs decal with Tavares’ “91” affixed to the tailbone padding on the inside while the NHL shield logo is embroidered over the reverse of the right leg. Exhibiting heavy game-wear including numerous marks, abrasions, frays, paint transfers, rubs and a couple of small holes, the skate lace tie up is still fed through the eyelets on the front and the pants have been photo-matched with Getty Image #1486431041 (April 29th, 2023 vs Tampa Bay - 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1 -Game 6) to the small holes over the right thigh and black marks on the white stripe. A Leafs LOA will accompany the piece.
