A Stanley Cup champion as an assistant coach with Colorado in 1996 before leading the Chicago Black Hawks to the promise land in 2010, 2013 and 2015, Joel Quenneville saw action as a player in parts of 13 NHL seasons, shared amongst five different NHL clubs. This Toronto Maple Leafs 10K gold ring was presented to Quenneville in the late-1970s during his time with the club (parts of the 1978-79 and 1979-80 seasons). Size 10 ½ with an approx weight of 25 grams, a gold coloured maple leaf sits centered within a large blue stone on the tableau, with “Toronto Maple Leafs” and “NHL” encompassing in slanted letters. The right shank sports a raised generic player with wreath, with “Quenneville” engraved to the banner, while the left shank sports a matching design with “Defence” engraved to the banner. The inner band is stamped “Jostens 10K”. Showing moderate to heavier wear from use, there are numerous scratches to the inner and outer band and shanks, with a few small dings visible along edges.
