Jean Beliveau Foundation Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/11/2008
Terrific trio of vintage photographs feature all-time great Jean Beliveau as a 19-year old and at a time when the Montreal Canadiens were drooling over the junior hockey superstar. A glossy 8” by 10” captures Beliveau in his Quebec “Citadelles” uniform and includes a fancy blue ink Beliveau autograph of the day, while another 8” by 10” is a dressing room celebration pose, with Jean in the back row, his fist raised triumphantly. An 11” by 14” matte-finish photo meanwhile is stamped “Studio Roger Bedard” on the back and shows the Citadels before boarding a TCA (Trans Canada Air Lines) plane. Among Beliveau’s teammates in 1950-51 when he scored 61 goals and 124 points in just 46 games were Camille Henry, Marcel Paille and Bruce Cline. Superb EX condition images.
