Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
First representing Finland internationally while still a teenager, Jari Kurri saw action with his nation at each and every level throughout his career including at the IIHF World Championships, Canada Cup, World Cup of Hockey and Winter Olympics. From his third appearance at the Canada Cup, we have a photo-matched Team Finland captain’s jersey worn by the superstar in 1991, where he scored 2 goals in his 6 games. Tackla labeling with “XXL” sizing is affixed to the collar, with all graphics sublimated, including the Canada Cup logo over the left breast, the team crest, sleeve and verso numbers and “Kurri” over the affixed nameplate. Sporting nice game-use with marks over the sleeves and a scrape to the team crest, an included photo has been matched to the aforementioned scrape, with an additional match found in the included book "Jari Kurri” by Ari Mennander with Jim Matheson, which shows the marks on the right sleeve near the number "17", as well as the two smaller marks visible on the lower portion of the sleeve. A MeiGray LOA will also accompany, along with a COR from the company.
