There are 24 diamonds within the Stanley Cup on the face of this gold and diamond stunner, one for each of the Montreal Canadiens’ championships once they won the Cup in 1993. Assistant coach Jacques Laperriere had a direct hand in claiming eight of them over the course of his remarkable playing and coaching career. Unlike the 1986 team that featured Robinson, Chelios and Green as the core of the blue line, Laperriere found a way to provide coach Jacques Demers with championship defence from a group made up of Eric Desjardins, Mathieu Schneider, Lyle Odelein, Kevin Haller, Jean-Jacques Daigneault, Patrice Brisebois, Rob Ramage, Donald Dufresne and Sean Hill. After losing their first two playoff games against Quebec, the Canadiens ran off 11 straight wins against the Nordiques, Buffalo and the New York Islanders. Desjardins became the first defenceman to score a hat trick in the Stanley Cup final and John LeClair scored a pair of overtime goals in Los Angeles as Montreal won 10 straight overtime games in claiming its 24th title. This incredible championship ring has a total of 46 diamonds, including 22 that surround the 24-diamond gold Stanley Cup set in the gold face, with 1993 in raised gold numbers at the bottom. The ring’s left shank has "Laperriere" in raised letters above a raised gold CH logo painted in red, white and blue enamel, with "A. Coach" beneath it in raised gold letters. The right shank has "Canadiens Montreal" in raised letters above a raised gold Stanley Cup centennial logo, with "24 Together" beneath it in raised gold. This dazzling size 10 ring has 14K and Everest engraved inside the band and it comes along with Jacques Laperriere’s signed letter of authenticity.
