The NHL scoring leader in 1975-76, Guy Lafleur was the fastest player to reach 1000 points when he achieved the feat, with his 1,246 career points positioning him as all-time leading scorer for the Montreal Canadiens franchise. This NHL All-Star Game Wales Conference jersey was worn by Guy in the superstar showcase in 1976. The collar retains its Gerry Cosby tagging, with the garment measuring-out across the reverse to roughly a size 52. Featuring a large and clean NHL shield crest, the jersey sports additional shields over both breasts, with the American bicentennial crest over the left shoulder. Each sleeve has a white star adhered between the black striping bands, with another half dozen matching examples evenly spaced across the front and back lower band. Originally from Lafleur’s personal collection, Guy would net three points in the 1976 All-Star Game, with a goal and two assists. An LOA will accompany.
Game-use on the solid orange V-neck sweater includes just a few random dark marks including near the reverse numbers, with fabric pulls over the right sleeve and a small stain over the collar. The colours remain especially bright and vibrant, with the sweater in gorgeous overall condition, absolutely perfect for display.
