Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
“Big M” stamped on the middle of the shaft tells you this was Frank Mahovlich’s late-1960s Detroit Red Wings game-used stick. The HOF left wing scored a career-high 49 goals in his first full season in Motown. Northland Custom Pro has Olympic Sporting Goods stamp on both sides of the shaft which retains Frank’s tape job on the knob. Tape was removed from the blade that is cracked in the middle with horizontal strands of white tape at the toe. Loads of game wear with black marks all over and red goalpost paint transfer on the shaft.
Larson Industries stamp high on the shaft is partially obscured by the taped knob.
