Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
From his last season in Oshawa where he put up 31 points in only 13 games, we have Eric Lindros’ game-worn Generals helmet, and it’s been photo-matched. A Cooper SK 2000 L model with red and blue shell, the helmet retains all of its original padding and strapping, with intact Itech visor. “88” is affixed to the center back, with additional “Cooper” decals placed above. The helmet and visor show great use, with surface wear along with a number of scratches, marks and abrasions present. There are also a few small stains on the interior padding. An OHL guide from 1991-92 that will be included shows an image of Eric on the cover, with a diagonal scrape through the Cooper logo along with a black mark pictured that perfectly matches the helmet.
A digital image also shows a perfect match to the helmet, with a horizontal scratch pictured along the right side near the top that perfectly matches the helmet. We should also note that the digital image predates the OHL guide’s photo with Eric sporting new gloves in the cover photo, with the visor pictured in the digital image later changed at some point during the season. The small green CSA sticker on the left side of the visor is still affixed and present in the guide’s cover photo.
