This stunning personal Stanley Cup trophy was presented to veteran defenceman Ed Van Impe after the Broad Street Bullies successfully defended their title in the spring of 1975. With Van Impe dishing out punishing body checks on the back end and Hall of Fame goalie Bernie Parent at the top of his game, captain Bobby Clarke and fellow HOFer Bill Barber led an offence boasting the talents of snipers Rick MacLeish and Rick Leach as the Flyers racked up a league-high 51 regular season wins. In the playoffs, Philly swept Toronto, outlasted the Islanders in a seven-game semi-final and then took the Sabres in six, Parent shutting the door in the 2-0 clincher in Buffalo to earn his second straight Conn Smythe Trophy. Their names are engraved in three columns on the barrel along with key supporting cast members Dornhoefer, Lonsberry, Crisp, Kindrachuk, Bladon, the Watsons, Harris and "bullies" Schultz, Dupont, Saleski and Kelly. "Philadelphia Flyers 1974-75" is engraved at the top with owner Ed Snider, GM Keith Allen and coach Fred Shero among the executives listed below. Silver-plated trophy was cleaned and polished by Boffey when it was sent to them to repair the base of the bowl at the top of the 13" tall trophy. Van Impe signed in black marker on the green felt beneath the black wood base. A rare and precious opportunity for Flyers enthusiasts, this gorgeous Stanley Cup trophy comes with Ed Van Impe's signed LOA.
