Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Coming off what many would consider one of the greatest goaltending rookie debuts in NHL history in 1990-91 with Chicago, Ed Belfour would spend parts of nine seasons in The Windy City, with both the Calder and Vezina Trophies won during his tenure in Illinois. We have a pair of photo-matched pads worn by the HOFer in 1994-95, along with a signed game-issued stick from circa 1993-94. Cooper Reactor models in red and white, each pad feature’s “Custom Made for Ed Belfour” screened-onto each outer side, with heavy use exhibited with a plethora of puck marks present. The Cooper Super Pro stick feature’s “Belfour” over the upper shaft, with intact striping accents over the paddle and handle. Ed has added a perfect silver marker signature across the blade, with his signed LOA to accompany.
Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, 1995-96 Fleer and Parkhurst cards along with an included numeric image have been matched to marks on the upper area of each pad.
