Led on the score sheet by Mark Messier as The Great One had departed for warmer weather in 1988, the Edmonton Oilers would finish in second place in the Smythe Division at the conclusion of the 1989-90 NHL season, and after dispatching of the Jets, Kings and Black Hawks in the postseason, met the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup final. The Oilers would take the series in 5, with Game 1 the longest Stanley Cup finals match in history. Originally presented to team dentist Dr. Brian Nord, we offer his breathtaking 1990 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup championship 10K gold ring. Size 10 with an approx weight of 32 grams, a bed of zirconia cover the tableau, with “Stanley Cup Champions” encompassing in raised and angled letters, along with “1990”. The right shank has “5 Stanley Cup Championships” above, with an image of the Cup and the years won below, while the left feature’s a centralized Oilers logo, with “Nord” above, and “1990” below. The inner band is stamped "Jostens 10K". Displaying beautifully with no stones missing from the tableau, there is wear visible from use, with a number of scratches covering the outer band, with small dings also present, mostly along edges.
