Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Traded to the Los Angeles Kings in February of 2018 after three partial seasons in Ottawa, Dion Phaneuf would dress in 26 regular-season games during the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign, and see action in four playoff contests. From his time in Tinseltown where he spent a pair of seasons with Los Angeles, we have a photo-matched Kings jersey worn by Phaneuf in 2017-18, in approx all away games from February until April of 2018. “58+” sizing appears along the Adidas collar band, with NHL and Adidas crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a partially-embroidered “LA” shield crest, “3” is sewn over the sleeves and verso in tackle twill numerals with silver textured trim, with “Phaneuf” across the upper reverse in single black twill. Sporting just very light game-use, the Set 2 jersey remains in gorgeous condition. Getty Image #919426474 (Feb 17, 2018 vs Buffalo) has been matched to the extended black thread visible at the bottom right corner of the team crest, and to the white twill layer and the crooked shape of it’s placement midway down the far right side of the team crest. Hailing directly from the Los Angeles Kings, the team patch resides on the inside hem, with a Kings hologram numbered “792fcb54” affixed to the fight strap and a matching COA to accompany (a Kings presentation box and folder to store the COA is also included).
