It was only right that Denis Savard was back with the Black Hawks for his final NHL season. Savard’s 1996-97 Black Hawks game-worn jersey has customizations and solid game wear that includes four team repairs and red paint transfer on the right rear tail and left sleeve. Number “2” handwritten in black marker inside the rear hem behind the NHL shield signifies that this gamer from Savard’s swan song season is from Chicago’s second season set of home jerseys. The bottom of the jersey has been shortened by hemming it just above the stripes and the sleeves have also been custom-shortened . Nike size 48 and NHL Center Ice tagging sit in the back of the neck. Comes with a MeiGray LOA and a COR.
There are three team repairs on the front tail and one sewing fix on the back of the left sleeve just above the cuff. More game wear shows in black marks on the front tail, right shoulder and both sleeves, each of which also have board burns.
