Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Maple Leafs legend Harvey “Busher” Jackson (d. 1966) teamed up with fellow HOFers Joe Primeau and Charlie Conacher on the fabled Kid Line that struck fear into the hearts of NHL goalies in the 1930s. Jackson led the NHL in scoring with 53 points in 48 games in 1931-32, when Toronto won the Cup for the third time, its first as the Maple Leafs. The five-time NHL All-Star signed ‘Harvey “Busher” Jackon’ in steel tip fountain pen bold black ink diagonally across the bottom left of this huge photo. “Alexandra Studio” is handwritten on the bottom right side. The verso bears the Alexandra Studio stamp and has paper remnants affixed to it from removal from a previous display. Comes with a JSA LOA.
There is a tiny notch missing from the very bottom edge that would not show with suitable framing, and a small tear on the right side and creases around the edges that do not diminish the display of this vintage photo that is well into its eighth decade of existence.
