Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
The sport’s first true megastar, Fred Cyclone Taylor skated for a number of legendary clubs including the Renfrew Creamery Kings, Ottawa Silver Seven and Vancouver Millionaires. Stories regaling his iconic feats – both mythical and factual - have been endlessly repeated throughout the past century including once scoring a goal while skating backwards. Inducted into the HOF in 1947 and passing in 1979 at the youthful age of 94, we offer a framed display with signed index card. Featuring a modern 6” x 8” image of the Cyclone in his Senators wool sweater above, what appears to be a standard lined 3” x 5” index card matted to slightly smaller dimensions has been inserted below, with the index card signed in blue ballpoint with no issues. Framed to full dimensions of approx 13 ½” x 16 ½”, a JSA LOA will accompany.
Please note; While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for any damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
