Superpest Claude Lemieux wore this 1987 Canada Cup Team Canada jersey that is photo-matched to 10 included digital images from tournament games against Czechoslovakia and Finland. The Czechoslovakia game was Team Canada’s 5-3 semi-final win at the Montreal Forum on Sept. 9, when Lemieux sucker-punched Dominik Hasek. Lemieux also sustained an injury that sidelined him for the amazing three-game final. Team Canada also wore its white jerseys for its 4-1 win against Finland in Hamilton on Aug. 30. Obtained directly from Claude Lemieux, his game-worn jersey with Maska flag tag in the neck has a custom-shortened hem that has folded the embroidered CCM logo inside the right rear tail. Photo matches include the black mark above the lower leaf on the front, and marks on the left shoulder and right sleeve. A signed LOA from Claude Lemieux will accompany. Please take note that this item may be subject to a silent reserve.
The digital images for the photo matches have been researched by photos of the seats and the interior of the arenas to confirm where the games were played for Team Canada’s August 30, 1987 game against Finland and the semi-final game against Czechoslovakia on Sept. 9.
