Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Finishing second overall behind just the Montreal Canadiens in 1965-66, the Chicago Black Hawks upset the first place Detroit Red Wings in the playoffs, losing to the Habs in a seven-game Stanley Cup final. This goal stick has been team-signed by the 1965-66 Stanley Cup finalist Black Hawks, and it is accompanied by a Hawks Bobby Hull jersey signed by the Hull brothers and Brett. The CCM professional model stick has a faded Black Hawks logo over the heel with "Chicago Black Hawks" in faded drop-shadow lettering to the blade. The stick has been signed by 21 in either ballpoint or green ink on one side of the shaft and paddle, including HOFers Hull, Pilote, Mikita, Hall, and P. Esposito (mostly worn away), along with Jarrett, Mohns, Wharram, Dryden, Vasko, D. Hull, Hodge, Maki, Stanfield, Lunde, and a few others. A few of the signatures are faded/worn and illegible, and there is also some minor bleeding to a few of the green ink signatures. There is a personalization written near the top of the shaft, with labels with players names affixed to the opposite side of the shaft to identify the signature placed directly on the other side. The jersey is a vintage CCM model with "L" sizing and tackle twill team crest and numbers, with the Hull brothers signing on the reverse in marker, and Brett signing over the front.
