Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

A formidable squad currently and a threat to any NHL team, the Toronto Maple Leafs are second all-time for Stanley Cup championships, with the most members enshrined in the HOF at 60. We have a great vintage Leaf pennant collection of 6, ranging from the 1950s to 1970s. All in the full-size 30” range give or take, we have a highly desirable 1950s player pennant, with this from one of the most beautiful and highly collected pennant series. The screened-on graphics and colours are immaculate, with a grommet present, along with a small hole over the middle left border that doesn’t penetrate through the material, as well as a small fold over the bottom left. There is also one tassel missing, with three originally over both the top and bottom, with the pennant currently sporting three tassels at top, and two on the bottom. Next, we have a somewhat harder to find example from the 1960s, with the soft felt pennant having great Leafs graphics along with two sets of crossed hockey sticks over the left side. The tassels are intact and show wear, with additional wear to the pennant including pinholes. The third pennant has typical graphics with a “1968 NHL Services” copyright over the bottom left, with intact tassels showing wear and some light staining, with a pair of pinholes. The final three pennants are identical in style, all on firmer stock, with matching emblems and script, with a pair having NHL logos and no tassels (heavier toning and pinholes) with the third having a “1970 NHL Services” copyright over the bottom left. The tassels are intact and show wear, with a few creases and general toning.
