Thrilling over 68,000 spectators and featuring superstars Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin, the 2011 Winter Classic took place on Jan 1, at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, with the visiting Caps taking out the hometown Pens, 3-1. We have a trio of large vinyl banners from the event. First, the main banner is approx 47" x 119” and dual-sided (matching images on both), with an image of Crosby in full Winter Classic Penguins uniform, with the date, Winter Classic and team logos all shown. The additional two banners are matching in size and style (47” x 73”), with Crosby featured on one, Ovechkin on the other, with each dual-sided (the Crosby shows differing images), with the tag line “Let’s Take This Outside”. A trio of NHL COAs will accompany, with one for each banner.
Each banner remains in very good condition, exhibiting wear from their former use, with the large banner showing prominent fold lines. Wooden rods have been added to the top and bottom section of each smaller banner to facilitate handing, with one rod missing from the smaller Crosby banner.
