Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A member of the goaltenders top 10 club for most career wins, Jacques Plante will be forever immortalized within the rich pantheon of hockey history for being the first to regularly don facial protection. We have an attractive framed 16” x 20” black and white photo of the HOFer, with a desirable signature cut below. Picturing Jacques in what appears to be game-action, both the photo and 1 ¾” x 4 ½” (exposed) signature cut have been double-matted, with the frame at full dimensions of 25” x 28 ¼”. The six-time Stanley Cup champion has signed the cream-coloured paper cut in ballpoint, and the signature displays beautifully. There is some light wear to the frame, with just some toning to the cut to mention.
