Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Won by the East as they just slipped past the West 12-11, the 2009 NHL All-Star Game was played at the Bell Center in Montreal, with local fan favourite Alexei Kovalev taking home MVP honours. Alexander Ovechkin – in his fourth consecutive All-Star appearance – entertained fans with his “double stick” goal in the breakaway challenge, with the public choosing him the winner of the competition via text messaging. We have a large 2009 All-Star Game vinyl banner featuring current Stanley Cup-champion Alexander Ovechkin. At approx. 72” x 84”, an All-Star Game logo sits along the base with text in both French and English, with a large black and white image of Ovechkin. Double-stitched and reinforced at the seams, the banner remains in very good condition, with wear commensurate with its former use. A COA from the NHL will accompany.
