Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2006-07 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Serving as an alternate captain for his final two seasons with the Habs, Andrei Markov is currently playing in the KHL with Ak Bars Kazan. We have a Canadiens alternate captain’s jersey that was worn by the Voskresensk native during the 2015 Stanley Cup playoffs. A “56” size label is affixed to the collar with handwritten “5P”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the famous CH team crest partially-embroidered, the “Away Set 5P” V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the Jean Beliveau memorial “4” crest over the right breast. The team patch (A03793) sits on the inside hem, while a hologram numbered “GU11082” has been affixed to the reverse “9”, with a matching LOA from the Canadiens to accompany.
The sleeve cuffs have been customized with velcro, with dark marks visible over each sleeve. There are also small holes near each cuff resulting from board burns.
