A two-time James Norris winner as the NHL’s premier defenceman and the first American-born player to earn the coveted Conn Smythe Trophy, this attractive original artwork of superstar HOF defenceman Brian Leetch was used for card #315 of the 1990-91 Upper Deck hockey set, and it’s been executed by artist Vernon Wells Jr, who’s noted for his numerous portraits of MLB players, with his work used for programs, guides, etc. At approx 16 ½” x 22” and depicting the 1989 Calder Memorial Trophy winner in an alert, game-action pose, the artist has signed over the lower right, with the unique and highly desirable work framed to full dimensions of approx 24 ½” x 30 ½”. With the artwork appearing in gorgeous condition with no issues, there is heavier wear including dings and marks to the frame.
