Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
An intriguing and somewhat different view of one of hockey’s most iconic images, we have a slightly elevated perspective of “The Goal”, when legendary HOFer Bobby Orr sealed the fate of Glenn Hall and the St Louis Blues with his forever famous Game 4 overtime winner in the 1970 Stanley Cup finals. At 15” x 19” (exposed), the black and white image feature’s Orr just after plotting the winner, soon to be catapulted in mid-air. Bobby has signed beneath his image in blue marker, and the signature display extremely well with no issues. Double-matted and framed to full dimensions of roughly 23” x 27”, we should note the moderate wear to the frame itself.
