No stranger to facing the mighty Russians during his career, Bobby Hull as a member of the WHA took part in the 1974 Summit Series, and later played numerous exhibition games against European competition including the Czechs. Originating directly from Bobby Hull, we have a plaque gifted to the superstar for his participation in the Summit Series by his fan club, along with a group of international items including Soviet and Czech flags, patches and jewelry. First, the wooden shield-shaped plaque is 9" x 11", with affixed and engraved metal plaque that states "To Bobby, in appreciation for all your contributions, efforts, and overall sportsmanship to Team Canada 1974", along with "Your Fan Club". There is also a handwritten personalization to Bobby on the reverse in black marker dated Jan 1975. Next, there are small pennant flags for Sparta Praha, and three for CCCP. There is also trio of small patches including CCCP vs Canada 1978 (2). Additionally, there are two different sets of matching cufflink and tie clip sets for 1978, and a third tie clip. Rounding out the lot, there is a small ceramic CCCP plaque (broken in two), a CSSR puck from 1972, a small cap with a Swedish name and address, and a paperback copy of "Russian Hockey Secrets". The book and plaque show wear with most if the items in like new condition unless otherwise noted. A signed LOA will accompany from the son of a close friend to Bobby Hull.
