This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Keeping fans on the edge of their seats, the 1940 Stanley Cup finals between the Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers went six games, with three ending in exciting overtime including the Cup clincher. Produced for Game 4 on April 9, 1940 (won by the Leafs 3-0, with goals by Stanowski, Marker and Drillon), we have an MLG program team-signed by 16, including 6 deceased HOFers and each goal scorer from the match. Sporting a large missing section to the bottom of the cover, the program is otherwise complete including the rosters, with all 16 signing the cover in pencil. Signers include deceased HOFers Turk Broda, Sweeney Schriner, Gordie Drillon, Syl Apps, Red Horner and Dick Irvin, along with Bob Davidson, Gus Marker, Nick Metz, Pete Langelle, Murph Chamberlain, Bingo Kampman, Hank Goldup, Lex Chisholm, Phil Stein and Wally Stanowski. Most of the signatures display well including the Broda, with a few small tears, small stains and general wear to the program. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
