Drafted 261st overall by the Calgary Flames at the 1991 NHL Entry Draft, Andrei Trefilov, a Russian born goaltender who would win a gold medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics with Team CIS, would play in a total of 54 National Hockey League games over the course of his career, split between Calgary, Buffalo and Chicago. Hailing from the 1996-97 season, we offer this Sabres jersey worn by Trefilov. Made by CCM and featuring both "Goalie Style" and size "58" labels affixed to the inner collar, the logos of CCM and the NHL shield have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Sabres team crest that sports both textured and embroidered details throughout, matching alternate logo patches have been added over both shoulders while the Seymour H Knox III memorial patch that was worn by the team during the season has been affixed over the right breast. Having had Trefilov's number "30" sewn to the sleeves and verso in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Trefilov" is spelt out in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Exhibiting moderate game-wear throughout via puck marks over both sides of the body and both sleeves, red post paint transfer marks are found over both elbows while heavy pilling is observed at each cuff as well. Sporting a small unrepaired cut on the inside of the right sleeve near the cuff, spot staining is observed throughout the piece as well that is worth noting for accuracy.
