This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
From the collection of defenceman Andre Dupont, we have four different Pewter plates made by the Wilton Armetale Group, representing highlights of the Philadelphia Flyers road to the 1975 Stanley Cup. The quarter-final, semi-final and final are featured, along with a plate celebrating their second-consecutive Stanley Cup victory. Each plate features a silver-coloured finish to the obverse, along with the particulars for each plate image embossed on verso. The date of each pictured event appears beneath, along with “Stanley Cup Champions 1975” above, with engraved Flyers logos along the top sections. With some light scratching and surface wear, the plates remain in excellent condition. A signed LOA from Mr. Dupont will accompany.
The breakdown for each plate is as follows. 1) Quarter-finals Flyers 4 Toronto 3 April 19th 1975. Dupont scores in overtime to eliminate the Maple Leafs in a four-game sweep. 2) Semi-finals Flyers 4 Islanders 1 May 13th 1975. MacLeish scores to eliminate the Islanders in the semi-finals. 3) Finals Flyers 2 Buffalo 0 May 27th 1975. Kelly scores Stanley Cup clinching-goal, defeating the Sabres four games to two. 4) Second straight Stanley Cup May 27th 1975. Clarke and Parent skate with the Stanley Cup.
